The climate of Patagonia is varied and unpredictable. It can be very variable at any time of the year and even during the day, especially regarding the presence of wind and the occurrence of rains. It may be normal for the 4 seasons to be taken during a cruise, however, even with “bad” weather, the landscape acquires a special charm. Regarding temperatures, between September and March the temperatures fluctuate between 5 and 15ºC (41 and 59ºF). Between April and August the temperatures descend around 0º with a greater frequency of days without winds.

We have trained personnel on board the ship to provide first aid care to passengers if required. There is no medical service. People who may require the use of medications, must bear in mind these during the trip due to the impossibility of obtaining them on the route.

7. Will we always see Whales??

The whale watching ratio in the Francisco Coloane Marine Park area is high, although we can never ensure the sighting of animals, we cannot forget that they are free and in their natural environment, and if they wish they can avoid approaching our boat and therefore be detected.

By regulations of Sernapesca and the manual of good practices for marine operations of sighting of Marine Fauna, in case of sighting a whale we can not approach less than 100 meters and the speed of the boat must be less than that of the animal or the of the slowest in the group.
