Magallanes National Reserve was created in 1932 to protect the native flora and fauna that surround Punta Arenas. Half an hour from the city, its trails climb through lenga and coihue forest to lookouts over the Strait of Magellan and, on a clear day, Tierra del Fuego.
A half-day walk at an easy pace, with a bilingual guide and pick-up from your accommodation. Departures Tuesday to Sunday.
The reserve has more than 60 kilometres of trails, including some accessible to visitors with reduced mobility. It is open all year, although some trails may close in low season because of the weather.

Accommodations in Punta Arenas between 10am to 10:30am
10:00 AM – Passenger Pick-Up: Our team will collect you from your accommodation in Punta Arenas for the transfer to Magallanes National Reserve, renowned for its lush vegetation and sweeping viewpoints.
10:30 AM – Arrival at Magallanes National Reserve: Upon arrival, we’ll stop at the park’s administration office to outline the day’s route. We’ll then set off along various trails, enjoying stunning vistas and the region’s native flora and fauna.
1:30 PM – Return to Punta Arenas: After exploring the reserve, we’ll head back to the city, arriving in Punta Arenas at approximately 2:00 PM.
