Watch thousands of Magellanic penguins in their natural habitat on this half-day boat trip to Magdalena Island, in the heart of the Strait of Magellan. Part of the Los Pingüinos Natural Monument, this small island hosts a protected colony of Magellanic penguins that return here every spring to nest, mate and raise their chicks. Departing from Punta Arenas, you’ll cross the historic waters navigated by Magellan himself before walking a marked trail among the penguins, all the way to the island’s iconic red lighthouse.

Tourist Cabin
In the case of Plus cabin, we will begin to be picked up at their places of accommodation in the city of Punta Arenas
In case of cancellation of reservations by the passenger, a penalty will be charged for “cancellation after the deadline” according to the following:
Between 06:00 am and 06:45 am, travelers will be picked up at their respective places of accommodation in Punta Arenas (PLUS Cabin), and then head towards the Prat Pier located near the city’s Plaza de Armas. Here the check in and boarding of the passengers will be carried out.
In the case of the Tourist Cabin, the passengers must arrive at 6:00 a.m. at the meeting point located at the Muelle Prat, Av. Costanera del Estrecho de Magallanes 1398, Punta Arenas.
The departure from the Prat Pier begins at 07:00 hrs. to then go to the Natural Monument “Los Pingüinos” located on Isla Magdalena, Strait of Magellan
On the way our guide will deliver the tour information in English and Spanish. After an hour and a half sailing through the Strait of Magellan, we arrive at the dock on Magdalena Island (at approximately 08:30 am), to disembark and visit the Penguin Colony for approximately 1 hour. After this, we embark to start the return to the Punta Arenas Pier, where the landfall will be approximately at 11:30 hrs.

Between 12:30 pm and 13:15 pm, travelers will be picked up at their respective places of accommodation in Punta Arenas, and then head towards the Prat Pier located near the city’s Plaza de Armas. Here the check in and boarding of the passengers will be carried out. (only for PLUS cabin)
In the case of the Tourist Cabin, they must present themselves at 12:30 pm at the meeting point located at the Muelle Prat, Av. Costanera del Estrecho de Magallanes 1398, Punta Arenas.
