Bigfoot base camp located in the Grey beach sector, a 10-minute walk from the Gray Refuge and Camping

It is approximately 2 hours of paddling, depending on weather conditions.
These excursions have as their starting point our base camp located in the sector
from Gray beach, within the mountain circuits of the Torres del Paine National Park and a 10-minute walk from the Gray Refuge and Camping, so you must get to this place on your own.
IMPORTANT to arrive 15 minutes before the start of each excursion.
There are 3 ways to get to BigFoot Base Camp:
1) Cross Lake Gray on the Gray III navigation, which lasts approximately 45 minutes (via
faster). This navigation leaves from the Hotel Lago Gray so you must arrive

2) Cross the Hielos Patagónico catamaran which navigates Lake Pehoé (30 minutes), and then walk from Paine Grande to Camping Gray for approximately 4 hours. You must first arrive via regular or private transportation to the Pudeto Nursery sector. Tickets for this navigation are purchased directly on the catamaran.

3) The third option is the recommended one, those who are doing the Macizo Paine and W circuits can do this excursion during their trip when they arrive at the Refugio and Camping Gray sector.
Kayak excursion: a first upper layer to be able to put the suit on over it (suit without
neoprene sleeves), sunglasses, plain hat (no pompom), buff or collar, extra socks.
In the event that passengers do not wear the appropriate clothing or footwear requested so that the excursions can be carried out with all the safety standards and services required by the regulations, the chief guides will have the power to cancel the service.
The kayak expedition lasts approximately 2.5 hours and leaves every day at 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. At our base camp the guides will give you all the necessary equipment, which consists of a wetsuit, waterproof jacket and boots, poogies (kayak gloves), skirt and life jacket. Then, there will be a safety talk on land where you will learn about your kayak, the paddle, the route and the weather conditions. Later, the kayaks will be carried 20 meters to the boarding area.
During the first part of the excursion, you will paddle near large floating icebergs and then head towards the eastern tongue of the Grey Glacier, which will take you to enjoy and contemplate this spectacular scenery that the place offers us along with impressive walls of giant ice.
If weather conditions permit on your return, you will pass through the glacier island (Nunatak) on the way to our base camp, and while you are resting and enjoying this incredible place, your guide will offer you a snack and a hot drink.
