Itinerary

Kayak Grey Glacier

The kayak expedition lasts approximately 2.5 hours and leaves every day at 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. At our base camp the guides will give you all the necessary equipment, which consists of a wetsuit, waterproof jacket and boots, poogies (kayak gloves), skirt and life jacket. Then, there will be a safety talk on land where you will learn about your kayak, the paddle, the route and the weather conditions. Later, the kayaks will be carried 20 meters to the boarding area.

During the first part of the excursion, you will paddle near large floating icebergs and then head towards the eastern tongue of the Grey Glacier, which will take you to enjoy and contemplate this spectacular scenery that the place offers us along with impressive walls of giant ice.

If weather conditions permit on your return, you will pass through the glacier island (Nunatak) on the way to our base camp, and while you are resting and enjoying this incredible place, your guide will offer you a snack and a hot drink.
