07:30 to 08:00 hrs – Pick up at your accommodation in Puerto Natales.
Entrance to the Torres del Paine National Park.
08:30 hrs – Arrival at Pudeto Pier. Departure at 9:00 hrs heading east-west through Lake Pehoe.
09:30 hrs – Arrival at the Paine Grande shelter, where we will have time to use the bathrooms and prepare for the walk.
We will begin our walk in a northwesterly direction, entering the Canyon of the Winds and gradually ascending the slopes of Cerro Paine Grande.
After traveling approximately 6.5 kilometers, we will reach an altitude of about 275 meters, from where we will enjoy impressive views of Lake Gray and the tongue of the Gray Glacier. Our view will only be interrupted by the imposing Nunatak, a rock island in the middle of the ice mass.
We will descend to almost the level of the lake, crossing an ancient Magellanic forest that was affected by a fire in 2011.
At the end of our tour, after 11.5 kilometers and approximately 4 hours of walking, we will arrive at the main and nearby viewpoint of the glacier. From here, we will have the opportunity to contemplate the eastern arm of the ice mass, which extends approximately 1 kilometer in its western arm.
The return will be along the same path we took to arrive.
18:00 hrs – We will take a catamaran back to our vehicle, which will take us back to Puerto Natales.
9:00 p.m. – Arrival in the city and transfer to your accommodation.
