How long is the Grey Glacier navigation and what does it include?

The boat tour lasts approximately 3 hours. Aboard the catamaran, we will get close to the massive ice walls of Grey Glacier, sailing past huge floating icebergs. The traditional tour includes a pisco sour or a beverage served with ancient glacial ice.

Where does the catamaran depart from and what time should I arrive?

The catamaran departs from the Hotel Lago Grey area inside Torres del Paine National Park. You must check-in at the hotel's cafeteria and then walk along the lake's beach (approx. 30-45 minutes) to reach the boarding area. We strongly recommend arriving at least 1 hour before your departure time.

Does the Grey Glacier boat tour operate all year round?

The navigation operates regularly during the high season (September to April) with multiple daily departures. During the winter season (May to August), departures are subject to a minimum number of passengers and weather conditions in the National Park. We suggest checking availability on our booking calendar.

Infant rate (0 to 4 years, up to 4 years and 11 months) – Free
One-way rate (Hotel Lago Grey to Refugio Grey, or from the refuge to the hotel): adult CLP$110,000 and child (5 to 12 years old) CLP$60,000. Booked through our team. On the 1st and 2nd navigation, passengers getting off at the refuge do not visit the glacier.

Cancellation and refund policies

Bookings can be cancelled or changed free of charge depending on how far in advance you tell us:

Individual booking (1 to 6 passengers): no charge with 7 days or more notice. From 0 to 6 days before, 100% of the fare is charged.
Groups from 7 passengers: no charge with 15 days or more notice. From 0 to 14 days before, 100% of the fare is charged.

Passengers with a confirmed booking who do not show up (no show) are charged 100% of the service.

If the navigation is suspended for weather reasons, the cost of the activity is refunded.

How do I get to the Lago Grey hotel?

To access the Lago Gray Hotel, you have three transportation alternatives: private vehicle (own or rented vehicle, or private transportation), shared transfer (you can hire it with us) or regular bus (via Bus Sur)

You can combine each option as follows:

1st navigation: arrival by private vehicle or shared transfer.
2nd navigation: arrival by private vehicle, shared transfer or regular bus.
3rd navigation: arrival by private vehicle, shared transfer (subject to availability)
4th navigation: arrival by private vehicle.

In the case of the only navigation during winter, departing between 10:00 and 1:45 p.m., available between May and August, you can arrive by private vehicle or shared transfer.

Can navigation to lago grey be suspended?

In case of suspension of the Navigation for climatic reasons or for not reaching the minimum number of passengers for the departure, the costs of the activity will be reimbursed only to the requesting company and not to the passenger.

The Lago Grey hotel is located 90 kilometers (2 hours away) from the city of Puerto Natales, within the Torres del Paine National Park.

What period of the year does this tour take place?

It is carried out throughout the year according to the following calendar:

May to August: Monday, Wednesday and Saturday of each week (Only one navigation from 10am to 01:45pm)
September to April: Every day

When should you buy the entrance to the Torres del Paine park?

It is mandatory to purchase the entrance to the Torres del Paine park online, no later than one day before the start of the excursion, through the website https://pasesparques.cl/. If the activity is suspended for any reason, the ticket will not be refunded.
